Message of Support for ‘Tower Hamlet’

I offer my support to the ‘Tower Hamlet’ initiative and wish Admiration Theatre the very best of luck in this project. Tower Hamlets has a rich and fascinating history and it will be an exciting experience for East Londoners to see local history and geography being brought to life in a context one would not normally associate with the borough – the plays of William Shakespeare.

Theatre is a fantastic way to engage communities to get involved in their local area, meet other residents and learn new skills, so I welcome the interactive side of this project – both in offering drama classes for local residents and in establishing a schools programme to bring theatre to young people.

I wish the project every success and hope that it attracts Tower Hamlets residents from all communities and age groups.
