The focus is on a theatre without words because the theatre, whether mime, physical theatre, or dance is about action not words. “My goal is to offer drama-mime training that makes it possible to use the body as a tool of theatrical expression, enhanced by the practice of diverse forms of bodywork that converge with raising awareness in the artist of a new theatrical esthetic. This especially involves achieving gestural efficiency and purity” Ella Jaroszewicz Ella Jaroszewicz has been Etoile (lead dancer) of the National Theatre of Pantomime, Wroclaw, and has won the Gold Medal of the Moscow Pantomime Festival. As Artistic Choreographer, Opera of Wroclaw, she met Henryk Tomaszewski and participated in the creation of a new gestural language which synthesized the art of mime and the science of choreography. In Paris she opened her school of mime and founded her company, Magenia: a unique drawing together of the disciplines of mime, ballet and contemporary dance as preparation for the actor, mime and dancer. Ella Jaroszewicz became the leading professor of mime at the Dance School of the Opera of Paris, and Professor at the International School of Mime of Marcel Marceau.
